Your local Hornsby mechanic, S & G Automotive Repairs are delighted to announce that they are now installing Polyair Bellows System springs for utes and 4 wheel drives. Also Polyair Springs for some sedans and wagons.

What is the Polyair Bellows System?

Tested over three years in the city and the Australian outback. The Polyair Bellows System is a two ply air bellows system that works with your existing springs and shock absorbers to provide additional support for big loads.

The Polyair Bellow System acts indpendently, on each side of the vehicle, to effectively level out an unevenly weighted tray or luggage compartment.

How does the Polyair Bellows System work?

The system is a suspension add-on and uses air pressure to adjust the level of your vehicle.
You simply pump up the bellows, as you would a tyre, to acheive the desired result it’s that simple.

Can the Polyair Bellows System be used off road?

Yes, there a couple of minor things to take into account such as maintenance but S & G Automotive Repairs can fully advise you when the system is fitted.

The good news.

If you carry heavy or uneven loads the use of the Polyair Bellows System can improve braking and handling of your vehicle. It can actually prolong the lifespan of your shock absorbers.

Call Steve Giles of S & G Automotive, your local Hornsby Mechanic, on 9987 0088 for a quote and to arrange installation.

Install the Polyair Bellows sytem for the ride of your life.

Now that Spring is here, it’s time to have a car air conditioning service.

Did you know that during Spring pollen gets into your car through your car heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems and can affect your hay fever?
Did you also know that moisture and condensation in your aircon system provides an environment that is perfect for bacteria, mould and fungus to grow?
Stale odours can also build up on your car upholstery from spilt food, drinks and of course kids mess!

Wynn’s Aircomatic Ultrasonic HVAC – Car air conditioning service
S&G Automotive Repairs uses the Wynn’s Aircomatic Ultrasonic HVAC Cleaning System which is a car air conditioning service that is a non-toxic and non-flammable solution designed to clean and deodorise not just the aircon but also the heating and ventilation system.

The aircomatic unit uses ultrasonic technology to create a fine mist that circulates through the cars heating, ventilation and aircon (HVAC) system and fills the vehicles interior. This mist is designed to eliminate odours caused by all the material build up such as pollen, mould and food and reconditions the vehicle to provide a fresh clean environment.

If you would like to know more about this car air conditioning service or a car air conditioning regas please contact Steve on 9987 0088

You can improve your car’s fuel efficiency by:

The way your drive

•	Try to consolidate your daily trips. This will also save you the cost of restarting your engine, which uses more petrol.
•	Reduce the use of air conditioning if possible.
•	When driving at speed ensure your windows are up to reduce drag.
•	Go easy on the accelerator and brakes. Sudden starts or stops use more petrol than gradual changes in speed.
•	Turn off the engine if you anticipate a lengthy delay.
•	Remove unnecessary weight from the boot.
•	Use overdrive and cruise control when possible as it will increase fuel economy.

Servicing your vehicle

•	Replace the spark plugs in your engine regularly. This way, the air and fuel mixture will burn cleaner and more efficiently.
•	Reduce friction by using high-quality motor oil.
•	Check your oil levels. Low engine oil makes your engine work harder.
•	Change your filters.
•	Keep tyres properly inflated and have a wheel alignment.
•	Have your car engine regularly serviced for optimum fuel efficiency.

If you have any enquiries or would like to book your car in for an engine service please call Steve on 9987 0088.
